What is the Citizenship Amendment Bill or CAB ?

The Citizenship Amendment Bill states that all Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, citizens of Persian religion who came from India, including Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan, will be given citizenship. The bill passed in Parliament would change the Citizenship Act 1955.

How easy will it be to get Indian citizenship?

PM Modi tweet that, “I want to assure my brothers and sisters of Assam that they have nothing to worry after the passing of #CAB. I want to assure them- no one can take away your rights, unique identity and beautiful culture. It will continue to flourish and grow.
